The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude-7.4 earthquake struck off the coast of southern Mexico, near the border with Guatemala, just before 8 AM PT.

The quake was felt across three countries: Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
Videos captured people evacuating office buildings as large skyscrapers visibly swayed during the shaking.
