Jack Schlossberg's bid to continue the Kennedy political dynasty has hit a major roadblock. The only grandson of President John F.
Kennedy lost his first congressional race.

Schlossberg failed to win the Democratic nomination in New York's 12th District. State Assemblyman Micah Lasher is projected to be the party's candidate for the November general election.
The defeat comes after a difficult campaign. Last month, The New York Times published a critical article questioning Schlossberg's seriousness as a candidate.

The report claimed he skipped important meetings to nap and described his campaign as chaotic.
When asked by TMZ about the article at the time, Schlossberg responded, "Politics 101: Attack the frontrunner, especially if it's not true.

Not the first time, won't be the last."
Despite this setback, Schlossberg is unlikely to abandon politics entirely. As the grandson of JFK, public service runs in his family.
