New real-life photos of the Hisense A10 e-ink phone showcase a modular design that could appeal to users who want a reading-focused device but occasionally need color.
The Hisense A10 first appeared in teasers in June 2026, with an official design reveal in July.

Unlike fixed dual-screen setups like the Bigme Hibreak Dual 2, the A10 keeps a monochrome e-ink panel as its main screen and adds a magnetic, detachable color LCD on top.
The color screen is sold separately, so users only buy it if they need extra flexibility for photos, comics, charts, social apps, or occasional video.
Recent real-life shots shared by Hisense give a clearer idea of how the accessory snaps on and works.
Users can switch between e-ink and LCD modes in three ways: a physical “Ink Smart Key,” a toggle in quick settings, or a button in the quick ball.

The main e-ink display is managed by a T2000 TCON chip that handles refresh rates and panel behavior independently.
Under the hood is the Qualcomm QCM6690 (also called Dragonwing Q-6690), a 4nm octa-core chip aimed at enterprise devices.
Performance is comparable to chips like the Unisoc T9100, suitable for everyday tasks and optimized reading, but not for heavy gaming.
The device runs Android 16 and is expected to receive solid long-term software and security updates.

Other practical features include NFC, an IR blaster for controlling TVs and air conditioners, magnetic wireless charging, native app cloning, built-in call recording, and a dedicated fast-refresh mode to reduce lag and ghosting on the e-ink side.
The main screen is 6.13 inches and described as paper-like, making long reading sessions, note-taking, or document work easier on the eyes and battery than a regular LCD.
The A10 is set to go on sale in China on August 28, 2026.
There is no word yet on international availability, so users outside China may need to import it as they did with earlier Hisense e-ink models.

By making the color screen optional and modular, Hisense aims to address a classic trade-off with e-ink phones: great for reading, but less ideal when color or multimedia is needed.
