A leaked unboxing video offers the clearest look yet at the upcoming DJI Osmo 360 II.

Shared by Igor Bogdanov on X, the clip shows the new 360-degree camera alongside last year's original Osmo 360.

The most notable upgrade is the battery.

The Osmo 360 II packs a 2,150 mAh cell, up from the 1,950 mAh unit in its predecessor—a roughly 10% increase.

That should translate to noticeably longer recording times, especially when shooting high-resolution 360 video.

Other leaks and regulatory filings hint at additional improvements, including faster USB-C charging and possibly user-replaceable lenses.

The camera retains DJI's distinctive square design from the first Osmo 360.

The timing is significant: the Insta360 X6 is expected to launch on August 12, with the DJI Osmo 360 II following just hours later on August 13.

Both cameras are rumored to feature similar specs, including roughly 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors and at least 8K50 video in full 360 mode.

Pre-orders have already started in China, and DJI has confirmed the August 13 launch window there. Global availability and final pricing remain unannounced.
