An Oppo-linked smartphone with model number PYB110 has received radio approval in China, including support for the N79 5G band.

Tipster Digital Chat Station suggests this device is the OnePlus 16, noting it is one of only two phones in its lineup to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro.

Launch Timeline and Design Hints

In July, the same leaker mentioned that a manufacturer's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro phone was slated for an October launch, widely interpreted as a reference to the OnePlus 16.

Engineering samples reportedly sport a 6.78-inch LIPO ultra-narrow-bezel flat display, a packaging process that minimizes bezels.

However, an early teaser hints at a circular camera island, marking a design shift from recent Oppo and OnePlus phones.

At the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gaming Technology Awards on July 30, OnePlus China President Li Jie confirmed that three exclusive gaming technologies will debut on the OnePlus 16.

These include a 165Hz high-refresh-rate display, a fast gaming kernel, and a triple-core e-sports processor setup.

For context, the OnePlus 15 launched on October 28, 2025, starting at 3,999 yuan, with a fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra-class chip, Glacier Cooling System, 7,300mAh Glacier Battery, 120W SuperVOOC wired and 50W wireless charging, and a 50MP triple-camera setup.

The OnePlus 16 is expected to build on that with newer Pro-tier Snapdragon silicon, improved gaming features, and the same October timing.
