Epomaker has introduced the GX1, a new gaming headset designed for versatile and affordable audio.
Priced at $49.99, it is currently available with a launch discount that reduces the price to $44.99.

The headset features an open-back acoustic design and offers three connectivity options, catering to gamers who need flexibility across different platforms.
Key specifications and features
The GX1 is built around 50mm dynamic drivers, delivering a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz with a total harmonic distortion (THD) of under 3%.
Its open-back ear cups allow air and sound to pass through, creating a wider and more natural soundstage that can enhance directional audio in games.
However, this design does not passively block ambient noise, and audio may leak to the surroundings.

The headset also supports virtual 7.1 surround sound processing for an immersive gaming experience.
Weighing 320 grams, the GX1 includes an adjustable headband with seven positions and breathable leather ear pads. The exterior features a painted, electroplated finish with built-in RGB lighting.
For communication, a detachable boom microphone is included, equipped with environmental noise cancellation (ENC) to filter out background sounds like keyboard typing or room fans.

Connectivity options include 2.4GHz wireless with 25ms latency, Bluetooth with 34-200ms latency, and wired USB-C. The headset is compatible with PCs, Macs, and Nintendo Switch.
PlayStation supports 2.4GHz wireless, while Xbox is limited to wired connectivity.
Powering the device is a 2,000mAh battery, which provides up to 70 hours of use with RGB lighting turned off.
With RGB enabled, battery life drops to 30 hours. Recharging from empty takes approximately three hours and twenty minutes.
