A former In-N-Out cook has filed a lawsuit against the burger chain, alleging religious discrimination and wrongful termination.
Arianna Rodriguez claims she was treated unfairly and eventually fired after requesting a work schedule that accommodated her Christian beliefs.

Lawsuit Details
According to the suit, Rodriguez worked as a cook at the Long Beach, CA location for nearly five years without issues, with a schedule that allowed her to attend church on Sundays.
She claims problems began when a new manager started in October, making her Sunday availability a "recurring source of workplace conflict."
She also received her first-ever write-up during this period.

In December, she raised concerns with upper-level management about her availability, church attendance, and unfair treatment, but says her concerns were dismissed.
On June 24, an incident involving food occurred, which Rodriguez believed was "waste under the workplace practice she had observed."
However, In-N-Out reported her to HR, suspended her, and launched an investigation.

The nature of the incident is unclear, but Rodriguez claims other employees had done similar things and only received warnings, not suspension or termination.
She complained to HR about the unequal treatment but was fired on July 3 for an alleged policy violation.
Rodriguez is suing for religious discrimination, wrongful termination, and other claims, seeking unspecified damages, unpaid wages, and reinstatement.

The lawsuit is notable given that In-N-Out is owned by a deeply religious Christian family and prints Bible verses on some packaging.
