Professional wrestler Joe Doering has died at the age of 44, his family announced on Friday.
Doering, who competed in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and All Japan Pro Wrestling, had been battling brain cancer for more than a decade.

He was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2016 and underwent surgery to remove it. The cancer returned in 2022, leading to another procedure.
Late last year, Doering was diagnosed with a third brain tumor and entered hospice care earlier this month.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling shared the news, stating: "At 9:13 AM today, June 26, our brother Joe Doering passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family."
The statement added: "Though his time on this earth lasted only 44 years, Joe packed a thousand years' worth of living into every one of them."

Doering is survived by his wife, Lindsay, his family, and many friends and fans worldwide.
He began his wrestling career in 2004 and had a brief stint in WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling under the ring name Drake Brewer in 2010.

Doering was a champion in both TNA and All Japan Pro Wrestling, earning respect across the industry.
