Google has officially introduced the Pixel Watch 5, now available in two sizes: the standard 41mm and a new 45mm variant.

The smartwatch runs on Wear OS 7 and integrates Gemini Intelligence for on-device processing, daily assistance, and health monitoring.

Specifications and performance

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated processor and a Cortex-M55 co-processor, the Pixel Watch 5 offers a 20% performance boost thanks to a 50% increase in RAM.

The AMOLED LTPO display features a 1-60Hz adaptive refresh rate, with peak brightness of 3,000 nits and a minimum of 1 nit for always-on mode.

The casing is made from recycled aluminum, and the screen is protected by custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Storage is set at 64GB, and the device includes Gen 3 Premium haptics, NFC, a microphone, and a speaker.

Gemini AI integration

Gemini is deeply integrated into Wear OS 7, allowing users to activate the assistant with the Raise to Talk feature.

Basic commands like setting timers, checking emails, or starting workouts are processed on-device, enabling offline functionality and faster responses.

The watch also surfaces contextual information, such as boarding passes or calendar events, directly on the watch face.

Health and fitness features

Health tracking includes an ECG app for AFib detection, SpO2 monitoring, and heart rate variability, along with a new body-response feature to identify stress signs.

Dual-frequency GPS uses 3D building models and local weather data to maintain accurate location in urban and wooded areas.

Software updates in September 2026 will add blood pressure trend tracking and insulin resistance monitoring using the watch's sensors.

A Breathing Emergency Detection tool, launching first in Europe, will monitor severe drops in blood oxygen and automatically contact emergency services if the wearer is unresponsive.

Battery and pricing

The 41mm model packs a 332mAh battery, lasting up to 30 hours with always-on display, while the 45mm model has a 465mAh battery, offering up to 40 hours.

Both versions charge to 50% in about 15 minutes with the included dock.

Pre-orders are open now, with general availability starting August 20.

In the US, the 41mm Wi-Fi model costs $399, LTE $499; the 45mm Wi-Fi is $429, LTE $529.

In India, the 41mm is priced at Rs. 42,990, and the 45mm at Rs.
