The lower inner refresh rate is noticeable on paper, but the extra screen real estate is far more consequential for multitasking, documents and video.

Huawei wins the size argument; Apple wins the refinement argument.

The Mate XT 2 Ultimate has the more exciting display concept, but the iPhone Duo offers the better overall panel experience.

Its 120Hz inner screen, higher peak brightness and refined viewing features make it easier to recommend for everyday use.

Performance, Battery and Charging

Apple’s A20 Pro gives the iPhone Duo the clearest performance advantage on paper. The 2nm chip is paired with 12GB RAM and storage options reaching 2TB.

That combination should make demanding games, editing and multitasking feel effortless, while iOS 27 gives Apple greater control over how the foldable hardware and software work together.

Huawei responds with the Kirin 9050 Pro and 16GB RAM, giving the Mate XT 2 Ultimate more memory for its ambitious multitasking setup.

That extra RAM makes sense when several apps are being used across the enormous screen.

Still, Apple’s chip is the more convincing performance story. Huawei has built the more unusual device, but Apple appears to have built the faster one.

Huawei’s 5600mAh silicon-carbon battery is one of the Mate XT 2 Ultimate’s strongest hardware advantages. It supports 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

Those numbers matter more here because Huawei is powering a much larger display and a device designed for intensive multitasking.

The iPhone Duo takes a more conservative approach, with wired fast charging and 25W MagSafe/Qi2 wireless charging.

Apple’s advantage comes from efficiency, but Huawei’s raw charging and battery figures are hard to ignore.
