Huawei has started taking pre-orders in China for its new Smart Screen S7 RGB, a 4K smart TV line that emphasizes more accurate colors.

The series is available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes.

The 55-inch model starts at 3,999 yuan, which is roughly €513.

The 65-inch version is priced at 4,999 yuan, or about €641, while the 75-inch model costs 6,999 yuan, around €898.

The main upgrade is an RGB-MiniLED backlight that allows red, green, and blue light to shine independently instead of using a single-color backlight.

Huawei says this setup, combined with a super-focusing lens, reduces screen halo and produces cleaner, more accurate colors.

Huawei claims the TVs cover 105% of the BT. 2020 color gamut, which it says is about 66% more color richness than regular MiniLED TVs.

The company also lists 94-bit color control precision.

A self-developed light-and-color control chip manages the brightness and color of each LED bead in real time.

An AI color calibration algorithm is also included to help keep images looking natural and with more depth.

The Smart Screen S7 RGB uses a new high-end LCD panel that boosts brightness by 21%.

Huawei says the more efficient lighting and better packaging help with lower power use and heat management.

All three sizes feature a 4K resolution of 3840×2160 on an LCD IPS hard screen.

They run a native 120 Hz refresh rate and, with double-refresh technology, can reach up to 300 Hz when connected to a PC, console, or other device that outputs a 300 Hz signal.

The TVs run HarmonyOS 4.3 with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

Audio depends on the size: the 55-inch and 65-inch models get two 12.5 W full-range speakers in a 2.0 setup at the bottom, while the 75-inch model adds a pair of 12.5 W high-frequency speakers on top.

All support Huawei’s Histen sound processing.

Pre-orders are already live in China, and the series is currently available exclusively in that market.
