Creative has introduced the B3, a new desktop soundbar now listed on JD. com in China.
It carries a standard retail price of 429 yuan ($64), with an initial launch price of 339 yuan ($50).
The 420mm-wide unit houses a four-driver acoustic system built around a symmetrical two-way design.
Two 58mm bass drivers are paired with two 40mm high-frequency drivers to separate low and high frequencies.
An Actions Semiconductor audio chipset with a 32-bit processing core and a gaming-tuned DSP manages the system.
Creative rates the frequency response at 20Hz to 20kHz with a peak output of 20W.
Power is split into 4W for the left and right channels, plus 6W for each of the two subwoofer channels.
The B3 supports Bluetooth 6.0 through a wireless chip intended to cut audio latency and keep game sound aligned with on-screen action.
Connectivity and Console Mode
The rear panel offers USB-C, optical, and 3.5mm AUX ports for PCs, macOS devices, smartphones, and TVs.
It also works with the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, though users must switch to a dedicated console mode for those systems.
For voice chat, Creative added a built-in omnidirectional microphone with noise reduction to filter background noise during multiplayer sessions.
A spherical control unit on the front combines a rotary dial and touch controls.
This hub handles power, volume, media playback, and the circular RGB lighting, which can be turned off with a dedicated button.
The dial also lets users switch between four EQ presets.
Measuring 420 x 87 x 87.4mm and weighing 1.28kg, the B3 is sized to fit under most standard monitors.
