The parents of late Migos rapper Takeoff are locked in a legal dispute over settlement money from a wrongful death lawsuit following his murder.
TMZ obtained court documents showing the conflict between Titania Davenport, Takeoff's mother, and Kenneth Ball, his father.

Mother Claims She Was Primary Caregiver
Titania stated in the filings that she had a close, loving relationship with her son throughout his life.
She said she raised him as a single parent from birth and provided nearly all financial support until he became an adult.
Titania also claimed she continued helping him as he pursued his music career, and later Takeoff supported her financially, paying most of her expenses.
According to her, he bought her a home, cars, and covered her clothes, food, living expenses, and utilities.

She argued that Kenneth was largely absent and provided negligible financial and emotional support.
Titania added that Takeoff did not provide financial support to his father.
Father Argues He's Entitled to Half
Kenneth acknowledged he was mostly absent but insists he is still entitled to half the settlement money.

He believes Texas is the appropriate court to decide the division.
Titania, however, argues that Georgia—where the probate case was filed—is the better venue now that the Texas wrongful death case has been settled.
The judge has not yet ruled on the matter.
Takeoff died on November 1, 2022, at age 28, after being shot outside a Houston-area bowling alley while with his uncle and Migos partner Quavo.

Patrick Xavier Clark has been charged with Takeoff's murder and is set to go to trial later this year.
