Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17C in China, marking a return to a 4/64GB base configuration. The phone succeeds the Redmi 15C, skipping the 16C model entirely.
The Redmi 17C comes with 4GB of RAM, a step down from the 8GB ceiling of its predecessor.

Storage options are 64GB or 128GB, with prices starting at 799 yuan (about $110) for the base variant and 899 yuan (about $132) for the 128GB model.
Design and Display
The device features a 6.88-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, DC Dimming, and TÜV Rheinland eye protection.
A side-mounted fingerprint scanner handles biometric unlock.

At the back, a circular camera module houses a single 13MP lens and an LED flash.
The other two rings are purely decorative, a design choice that prioritizes aesthetics over hardware.

Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the Redmi 17C runs on a MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset clocked at 2GHz, paired with HyperOS 3 out of the box.
A 5,160mAh battery supports 18W wired charging.
The phone includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and is available in three finishes: Red with a faux leather texture, and Black and White with a glossy finish.
