Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series might come with a significant price hike, according to a new forecast from market research firm IDC.
The firm expects the Pro models to cost up to $200 more than their predecessors.

IDC initially predicted a $100 increase for the iPhone 18 Pro and $50 for the standard iPhone 18.
However, after Apple raised prices on Macs and iPads by as much as $300, IDC's Senior Director of Data & Analytics, Nabila Popal, now believes a similar trend could apply to the iPhone lineup.
If the prediction holds, the iPhone 18 Pro could start between $1,249 and $1,299, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max might be priced between $1,349 and $1,399.

Memory Costs Driving the Increase
IDC points to rising memory prices as a key factor.
The iPhone 18 Pro models are widely rumored to feature 12GB of RAM, and Apple's recent pricing for devices with similar memory configurations—like the M4 iPad Air and entry-level M5 iPad Pro—suggests a similar approach for premium smartphones.

Despite the expected price jump, IDC believes demand for the Pro models will remain strong.
Many users with an iPhone 15 or older are likely to upgrade for Apple's new Siri AI features, and Pro buyers are generally less sensitive to price increases.
Monthly installment plans could also help absorb the cost.
