Ayaneo has announced the Pocket Micro 2, an updated version of its compact horizontal retro gaming handheld.
The new model keeps the original design but brings a faster processor, bigger battery, and improved controls.

The Pocket Micro 2 uses a custom Qualcomm chip comparable to the Snapdragon 865, offering a 220% performance boost over the first generation.

Battery capacity has increased by 52% to 3,950mAh, and an active cooling system helps manage heat during extended gaming sessions.
The handheld features a CNC-machined metal middle frame, measuring 162 x 67.8 x 18 mm and weighing 248 grams.
The 3.5-inch LCD display has a 960 x 640 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio, optimized for Game Boy Advance emulation at native 4x integer scale without stretching or black borders.
Ayaneo redesigned the control layout with a larger D-pad and ABXY buttons, plus recessed dual TMR analog sticks for better precision.
The shoulder buttons (L1/L2, R1/R2) have a staggered height design for tactile differentiation.
Connectivity includes a full-featured USB-C 3.1 port with USB-PD fast charging, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
