The chassis combines an anodized aluminum plate with an ABS plastic bottom case and natural wood accents.
An aluminum rotary knob in the top right corner handles volume by default but can be remapped.
The keyboard supports an 8,000Hz polling rate over both 2.4GHz wireless and wired USB-C connections, reducing input delay for gaming.

It also supports Bluetooth 5.2 and can pair with up to three devices.
Keychron states that the 2,600 mAh battery lasts up to 370 hours on a single charge when using 2.4GHz with RGB backlighting off.
Switches and Customization
The K5 Ultra uses Keychron's low-profile Milk POM switches, available in linear Red, tactile Brown, or tactile Banana variants.
The switches are pre-lubricated and made from POM and POK plastics. The hot-swappable PCB allows switch changes without soldering.
