Realme's smartphone lineup in China is undergoing a significant shift.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, production of all current Realme smartphones for the Chinese market has already ceased, with existing inventory expected to sell out by around November.
If this information holds true, it means the company is unlikely to introduce the Realme GT 9 or Neo 9 series in China this year.
Realme has already stated its intention to shift focus to overseas markets, where it sees greater growth opportunities, particularly in the performance and gaming segments.
Overseas Strategy Differs
The tipster also claims that Realme's overseas portfolio will differ significantly from its China lineup.
International markets will not receive new GT or Neo series models; instead, the numbered series will take their place in several regions.
Realme is currently focusing only on smartphones and audio products in overseas markets, with no tablets or laptops available at present.
However, a gaming tablet is reportedly being considered for the future.
This strategic shift aligns with Oppo's broader global strategy, under which eligible OnePlus and Realme devices may eventually switch to the latest version of ColorOS as software integration progresses.
