Xiaomi has introduced a new floor-standing air conditioner in China, the Mijia Air Conditioner Giant Energy-Saving Floor-Standing 5HP.
It is currently listed on JD. com at 7,999 yuan (about $1,190).

Designed for large spaces, the unit suits rooms between 50 and 80 square meters, making it suitable for homes and small commercial areas.
Performance and Features
The system is powered by a 38.6cc displacement compressor, paired with dual-row condenser and evaporator coils.
It delivers a maximum cooling capacity of 13,200W and heating capacity of 17,250W.
Rapid temperature adjustment is supported with 30-second cooling and 60-second heating.
The unit relies entirely on its heat pump, which operates in outdoor temperatures from -35°C to 65°C, without auxiliary electric heating.

Air circulation is handled by a 120mm fan wheel that pushes up to 1,850 cubic meters per hour through a 181mm opening.
The airflow spreads 115 degrees and reaches up to 17 meters.
Four-way airflow adjustments allow directing air along the ceiling or floor to avoid direct breeze.
The unit holds a Class 1 energy rating with an Annual Performance Factor (APF) of 3.75.

Xiaomi claims its software algorithms can cut energy consumption by about 20% during standard use, potentially saving users around 972kWh annually compared to older models.
As a Xiaomi product, it connects to the Mijia app, supports XiaoAI voice commands, and works with HyperOS Connect.
Cloud-based diagnostics can identify 122 hardware issues, such as low refrigerant or blockages, and it supports over-the-air updates.
A self-cleaning cycle uses a 58°C heating process to dry and clean the indoor evaporator.
The indoor unit is a white tower measuring 1,868mm tall and weighing 30kg, with noise levels around 50-52dB(A) at high fan speeds.
