According to the CAD data, the Galaxy A18 measures 164.4 x 77.8 x 7.84mm.
That makes it 0.34mm thicker than its predecessor, the Galaxy A17. The extra thickness allows the rear camera housing to protrude less, giving a cleaner look.
The pill-shaped camera module has been slightly refined compared to the A17.

On the front, Samsung continues with the Infinity-U notch, a design element used in its entry-level phones since 2019.
Bezel dimensions are expected to remain similar to last year's model.
Possible chipset change
A recent report from ZDNet Korea suggests Samsung may drop its Exynos processor for the 5G variant in favor of a Snapdragon chip.
Rumors point to the 6nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, a slightly overclocked version of the Snapdragon 695. This chip should handle daily tasks and light gaming.

For reference, the Galaxy A17 5G and 4G both featured a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
They also packed a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 13MP selfie shooter. It remains to be seen whether the Galaxy A18 will upgrade these specs.
The 0.34mm increase in thickness raises questions about a possible battery upgrade. Samsung has used a 5,000mAh battery across many price segments for years.
