Mike Woodson is thrilled about the New York Knicks' NBA championship, and he insists there's no bitterness in his joy.
“Once a Knick, always a Knick,” Woodson told TMZ Sports.

The former Knicks player and head coach called it “unbelievable” to watch Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and the team defeat the San Antonio Spurs in the Finals.
He noted the franchise had struggled for decades to reach that peak.

Woodson made a point to shout out Knicks owner James Dolan, saying he's “truly, truly happy” to see Dolan add a Larry O'Brien trophy to his collection.
Beyond the ownership and players, Woodson recognized the championship's impact on New York City. The team's parade down Broadway last week made that clear.

Woodson took over as head coach in March 2012 after Mike D'Antoni resigned, hoping to turn the franchise around.
Now, he feels nothing but positivity about the Knicks' success.

Currently an assistant coach with the Sacramento Kings, Woodson also expressed satisfaction with the Kings' draft picks.
