Jalen Brunson has his sights set on a guest appearance on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" — and Christopher Meloni is fully behind the idea.
TMZ Sports caught up with Meloni in New York City shortly after the Knicks' championship victory, where the actor known as Detective Elliot Stabler weighed in on the Finals MVP's acting ambitions.

Meloni noted that after ending the city's 53-year title drought, Brunson can pretty much do whatever he wants as the King of New York — including stepping in front of the SVU cameras.

Brunson also shares a strong friendship with Meloni's co-star Mariska Hargitay, a diehard Knicks fan herself. A "Benson and Brunson" collaboration seems increasingly likely.

Hargitay joined Brunson at the championship parade on Thursday, sparking speculation that the two may have discussed a potential role for the basketball star.
