Lenovo has unveiled the Tab Plus Gen 2, an updated version of its entertainment-focused tablet.
The new model brings improvements in audio, display, and performance while retaining the original's fun personality.

Enhanced Audio and Display
The tablet now features a JBL 9-unit Pro speaker system, one more unit than the previous generation.
It includes dedicated bass units and full Dolby Atmos support, which Lenovo calls a Cinematic Audio System.
A Bluetooth speaker mode allows users to connect their phone and use the tablet as a portable speaker for parties or gatherings.
The display has grown to 12.1 inches, up from 11.5 inches, with a 2560 x 1600 (2.5K) resolution.

It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10, reaches up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode, and offers a 120Hz refresh rate.
The built-in kickstand rotates 360 degrees, enabling easy switching between landscape mode for movies and portrait mode for video calls.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Tab Plus Gen 2 is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7400 processor, a significant upgrade over the previous Helio G99.
Memory options include 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB of RAM, and storage choices of 128GB or 256GB, expandable via microSD up to 2TB.
The device ships with Android 16 and promises two major OS updates (up to Android 18) along with security patches until 2030.

Battery life is supported by a 10,200mAh cell, rated for up to 15 hours of YouTube streaming.
It supports 45W fast charging, though the charger is not included in the box.
Weighing 775g and with a thickness peaking at 22.7mm around the speakers, the tablet feels substantial.
It comes in a Celestial White finish and has received an iF Design Award.

Pricing and Availability
Pricing starts at around $400 (approximately £370). The tablet will roll out soon in select markets, including the UK, Singapore, and Australia.
