Motorola has unveiled the Moto Pad 70 Groove in India, a tablet designed for entertainment with a high-refresh display, JBL multi-speaker setup, built-in kickstand, and AI features.

The device targets users seeking a versatile companion for streaming, work, and daily tasks.

Display and audio

The Moto Pad 70 Groove sports a 12.1-inch LCD screen with 2.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10, DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 800 nits peak brightness.

Its standout feature is the JBL 9-unit Pro Speaker System, comprising four tweeters, three woofers, and two passive radiators with Dolby Atmos support.

The tablet can double as a Bluetooth speaker, and Live Transcript offers real-time translation in over 40 languages.

Performance and battery

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset powers the device, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD.

A 10,200mAh battery supports 45W TurboPower charging, promising up to 15 hours of YouTube streaming and a 10-minute charge for two hours of use.

It runs Android 16 out of the box, with confirmed updates to Android 17 and Android 18, plus four years of security patches.

Camera and design

The tablet includes a 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual microphones, USB Type-C, and a clear protective case in the box.

Its all-metal body in Pantone Blue Surf measures 6.8mm thick and weighs around 775 grams, featuring the new 360° Kickstand 2.0 with Lean, Stand, Theatre, and Hanging modes.

Price and availability

The Moto Pad 70 Groove comes in a single 8GB+256GB variant at a launch price of Rs 33,999, after a Rs 3,000 instant bank discount from its regular Rs 36,999.

It will be available in Pantone Blue Surf starting Aug. 7 via Flipkart, Motorola India, and leading retail stores.
