Samsung has officially responded to reports of a red tint issue on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, confirming it is not a hardware defect.
The company says a software update will resolve the problem.

Users noticed a reddish hue, mainly in the center of the screen, especially at maximum brightness outdoors.
Many feared it was related to the phone's Privacy Display feature or a hardware fault.

According to Samsung, the tint stems from abnormal system optimization affecting color calibration.
The display may show slight color shifts at peak brightness in strong ambient light, but this is not burn-in or aging.
A software patch is being prepared to correct the color calibration algorithms. Once released, affected users can expect the fix via regular update channels.

In the meantime, adjusting screen mode, white balance, or lowering brightness can reduce the tint's visibility. No service center visit is needed.
