Xiaomi has introduced the Watch S5 46mm to global markets alongside its new 17T series smartphones.
The smartwatch runs on HyperOS 3 and brings several hardware upgrades, including a brighter display and a larger battery.

Design and display
The Watch S5 46mm features a circular design with a 316L stainless steel frame. It weighs 46 grams and measures 10.99mm in thickness.
The device sports a 1.48-inch AMOLED screen with 480 x 480 resolution and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits.
The bezels are 2.6mm thick, representing a 40% reduction from the previous model.
The display includes wet-touch protection to prevent water droplets from registering as taps.
Battery and performance
Inside, the Watch S5 packs an 815mAh battery.

Xiaomi estimates up to 21 days of battery life for light usage, 14 days for standard use, and 9 days with the always-on display enabled.
Fitness and health tracking
The watch supports over 150 sports modes and uses an updated dual-band, five-system GNSS chip for outdoor routing.
It offers offline map support and a backtracking feature.
A cycling mode syncs data to a smartphone to function as a bike computer, and it connects to third-party Bluetooth power meters.
The watch includes a skiing mode with fall detection that contacts emergency services if the user is unresponsive for 60 seconds.

Another feature, Passion mode, tracks gestures like clapping and arm waving during sporting events to calculate calories burned while cheering.
Health tracking uses a new four-LED, four-PD sensor for heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring. Xiaomi claims heart rate tracking is 98.4% accurate.
The company also collaborated with international sleep societies to update sleep tracking algorithms.
Software and connectivity
Running on HyperOS 3, the Watch S5 connects to the Xiaomi Smart Hub for smart home control, remote camera operation, and NFC payments through Mastercard and Visa.

The Xiaomi Watch S5 46mm is available now. The Black and Silver models cost €179.99 / £149.99.
