The issue reportedly emerged shortly after installing the One UI 8 Watch update or a subsequent security patch.
Another Reddit post from about a week ago shows a Galaxy Fit 3, less than two years old, developing a similar green line.
While it is too early to determine the scale of the problem, the reports indicate it is not limited to a single model.

For most affected owners, screen repairs will likely be out-of-pocket, and Samsung may be hesitant to offer free repairs broadly to avoid setting a precedent.
This situation underscores ongoing challenges with Samsung's AMOLED technology across its product lineup.
Galaxy Watch 4 users facing the issue must decide whether to pay for a screen replacement or upgrade to a newer model like the Galaxy Watch 7 or 8 series.
Samsung has not made an official statement regarding the watch reports.
