Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 17 Pro in China, a midrange smartphone built around an exceptionally large 9,000mAh battery and robust physical durability.
The device uses a silicon-carbon battery managed by Xiaomi's Surge G1 chip. It supports 67W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, letting users power other gadgets.

To combat battery aging, Xiaomi offers a five-year battery service plan for early buyers.
If battery health drops below 80% within four years, replacement is free; a replacement option is also available in the fifth year.
Durability and Display
The Note 17 Pro boasts IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, ensuring resistance to dust, water, and high-pressure jets.
Its internal structure includes a metal die-cast bracket and shock-absorbing materials, while the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The 6.83-inch AMOLED display offers 1.5K resolution (2772 x 1280), a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 3,500 nits.
Eye-care features include 3,840Hz PWM dimming and the ability to lower brightness to 1 nit.
Performance and Cameras
Under the hood, the phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1 storage depending on the variant.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor (f/1.8) and a 2MP depth sensor. An 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

Video recording is limited to 1080p at 30fps.
The phone ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, dual stereo speakers, and NFC.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro is available in Sky Blue, Nebula Purple, Black, and White.
Pricing starts at 1,599 yuan ($236) for the 8GB/128GB model, with higher configurations reaching 2,299 yuan ($339) for the 8GB/512GB variant.
