Xiaomi has confirmed that its upcoming foldable, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, will be the world's first smartphone to feature CXMT's new LPDDR6 memory.
The device is scheduled to launch in September alongside the new SkyNomad SUV.

Xiaomi's founder and CEO, Lei Jun, announced the news on Weibo, congratulating CXMT on reaching mass production of LPDDR6.
He described the achievement as "remarkable" and noted that Xiaomi's XRING O3 chip is the first to support the new memory standard.
The XRING O3 was unveiled on August 24 as the industry's first chip designed for LPDDR6.

LPDDR6 Memory Details
According to IT Home, CXMT's semi-annual report highlights LPDDR6 as a major upgrade over LPDDR5X, with improvements in architecture and data transfer.
The new memory can reach transfer speeds up to 12,800Mbps and offers up to 16GB per chip.

CXMT has already sent samples to key customers and is ramping up mass production.
Faster memory enables smoother multitasking, quicker app launches, and more efficient handling of AI features.
This move strengthens CXMT's position against major memory makers like Samsung and SK Hynix.

Xiaomi has not yet revealed full specifications of the 18 Fold, but more details are expected soon.
