Xiaomi is reportedly developing a privacy screen feature similar to Samsung's, based on leaked screenshots shared on X.
The feature, called "Smart Privacy Display," appears to offer more than a simple toggle.

Users can create custom groups and assign specific apps, deciding which apps trigger privacy mode.
An automatic mode is also included, activating for sensitive screens like password fields, banking apps, and messaging threads.

Expected on Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max
The Smart Privacy Display is expected to debut on the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max, rumored to launch in September.

These phones may also feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset and larger rear displays.
Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the feature, but the leak aligns with earlier rumors from June.

Details on the hardware implementation remain unclear, unlike Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra which uses special display technology to reduce viewing angles.
