Tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the Xiaomi 18 engineering prototype is equipped with a 7,200mAh battery.

This marks a slight increase from the 7,000mAh cell found in the Xiaomi 17.

For a compact phone, the battery capacity remains impressive even as competitors offer 8,000mAh and 10,000mAh batteries in larger devices.

Earlier leaks had already hinted at a larger battery, and this latest update provides a specific figure.

Xiaomi 18 Specs and Features

The Xiaomi 18 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch 2K display with ultra-narrow symmetrical bezels.

It is also rumored to incorporate SuperPixel display technology, keeping the design compact and easy to handle.

The phone will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, a 2nm chip also used in the Pro model.

This makes it one of the few compact flagships to pair a next-generation 2nm chipset with a dual 200-megapixel camera system.

The Xiaomi 18 will include a 200MP rear camera setup with large sensors.

It will also be the first standard Xiaomi model to feature a 3X periscope telephoto lens, previously reserved for Pro versions.

Additional features include ultrasonic fingerprint recognition and full waterproofing. Charging remains unchanged, with support for 100W wired and wireless charging.

The back screen design seen on Pro models will not be available on the standard Xiaomi 18.

The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to launch in September, possibly earlier than last year. It will compete with the iPhone 18 Pro series around the same time.
