Tecno has unveiled the Pova 8 Pro, a month after introducing the standard Pova 8.
The new model brings a Dimensity chip, an AMOLED display, and a large battery.

Under the hood, the Pova 8 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Tecno also includes a dedicated P1 graphics chip for gaming.
It can push some titles to 144fps, with RPGs topping out at 90fps and FPS/MOBA games hitting 144fps.
On the software side, the phone runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Tecno promises two major OS upgrades and three years of security patches.

The device features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 4500 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Starship design and camera
Tecno calls the design language 'starship,' featuring a triangular camera module. There is also a Mini LED dot-matrix display on the back that users can customize.
For photography, the Pova 8 Pro sports a 50MP main camera with the LYTIA 700C sensor and optical image stabilization.
It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 13MP front camera.
The phone is backed by a 6500mAh battery with 45W charging. It also supports bypass charging and 10W reverse wired charging.

Additional features include an in-display fingerprint reader, a 5000 square millimeter vapor chamber for cooling, infrared remote control, NFC, 4D game vibration, and Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio support.
The Pova 8 Pro carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
It is available in Arc White, Graphite Black, and Tundra Green, with configurations of 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB.
Tecno is also releasing a limited Tonino Lamborghini edition.

This collaboration has no direct commercial ties to the carmaker, and the design is the only difference from the standard model.
