Newly obtained dispatch audio reveals that paramedics rushed to Senator Lindsey Graham's Washington, D. C.
residence Saturday evening after a 911 call reported chest pains.
The audio, obtained by CNN from Broadcastify, indicates emergency services were dispatched around 8:30 p. m.
following a report of a person suffering from chest pains.
The caller stated they were en route from Baltimore, Maryland, and believed the front door was unlocked.
Upon arrival, first responders found the door bolted shut but managed to gain entry and administered CPR, according to the audio.
Graham's staff announced late Saturday on Instagram that the South Carolina senator had died from a "brief and sudden illness."
President Donald Trump paid tribute on Truth Social, calling Graham "one of the greatest people and senators" he has ever known.
