Josh Sanders, a former finalist on 'The Voice,' is now embroiled in a bitter custody battle with his estranged wife, Kendra.

The couple separated in January and have three children.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, Josh claims he should have custody because Kendra is allegedly turning the kids against him and hindering co-parenting.

He also says one child has expressed a desire to live with him.

Kendra counters by alleging Josh is an 'active alcoholic' who 'drank away' his professional opportunities after finishing second on 'The Voice' two years ago.

She claims he has driven drunk with the children in the car and been violent in front of them.

Kendra argues that Josh should only have supervised visitation and that she should have primary custody because she can provide a 'stable, loving, alcohol free home.'

The dispute has escalated legally. Arrest records show Josh was arrested in April for violating a domestic violence temporary restraining order.

Earlier this month, he filed a trespassing complaint against Kendra.

The details of the domestic violence restraining order remain unclear, but Josh claims it is related solely to the custody dispute.
