Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Air Purifier 6C and opened pre-orders for the compact model. It is listed at 1099 yuan, roughly €142, targeting smaller apartments.

The purifier covers up to 68 m² and delivers a particulate CADR of 603 m³/h. Xiaomi also lists a fresh air volume of 9,500 L/min.

Its footprint is about 0.063 m², close to the size of an A4 sheet. That keeps it unobtrusive while still moving a substantial amount of clean air.

Six-stage filtration and formaldehyde removal

Purification relies on a six-stage composite filter. The stack includes a pre-filter for debris and hair, an antibacterial layer, and a high-density formaldehyde-removing filter.

It also adds a nano-level high-precision particle filter, a carbon layer for odors and TVOCs, and an ultraviolet sterilization layer.

Xiaomi says the filter lasts 6 to 12 months and replacements cost 199 yuan.

Running costs are estimated at about 0.55 yuan per day.

Formaldehyde removal is a headline feature, with a measured CADR of 381 m³/h and a claimed 99% removal rate within two hours.

The unit uses ammonia-reaction technology to break down formaldehyde molecules and lock in odors. Xiaomi positions this as useful for newly renovated or rented spaces.

A real-time digital display shows formaldehyde levels with 0.1% precision on an LCD circular screen. It also tracks PM2.5, temperature, and humidity.

Allergen filtration is rated at 98% for cedar pollen, 98% for dust mites, 99% for cat dander, 98% for dog dander, and 99.99% for PM2.5.

Dual antibacterial coating plus UV disinfection is said to remove over 99.9% of eight common bacteria and viruses within one hour, including 99.99% for H1N1.

In sleep mode, noise drops as low as 30.4 dB(A).

The purifier works with the Mi Home app via Xiaomi’s Surge Smart Connect and supports Xiao Ai voice commands.

A split design makes filter changes easier, and some parts are washable. The app also shows real-time filter lifespan.
