Vivo has scheduled the launch of its X500 series for September 21 in China, with global availability yet to be announced.
The company has already teased several key specifications, and leaks have filled in the rest, giving us a nearly complete picture of the upcoming lineup.
Three models confirmed
The X500 series will succeed the X300 series and introduces a new Pro Max model alongside the standard X500 and X500 Pro.
Additional models like the X500 Ultra and X500s might arrive next year, but there's no official confirmation yet.
The standard X500 focuses on flagship value and a large battery, while the Pro model is a compact flagship with powerful hardware.
The Pro Max brings top-tier camera hardware, a larger battery, and a bigger display.
X500 Pro Max highlights
The X500 Pro Max retains a large circular camera module with four sensors, available in at least orange and silver.
It supports camera grips and optical lens attachments, and features a 200MP Samsung HP0 telephoto sensor with CIPA 7.0 stabilization and up to 30x zoom.
The device also supports a 400mm professional teleconverter kit and uses a new custom Phantom 900 sensor developed with Sony.
It offers 4K slow-motion at 240, 480, and 960 fps, plus 4K 120fps 10-bit Log recording.
The Pro Max is confirmed to feature a 2nm Dimensity chip, likely the Dimensity 9600 Pro, a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO display with 144Hz refresh rate, and a battery around 8000mAh.
X500 Pro and standard X500 specs
The X500 Pro is said to feature a 6.37-inch 1.5K OLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and the same 2nm Dimensity chip as the Pro Max.
It includes a 64MP APO telephoto camera with a custom Sony LYT-610 sensor, offering 85mm focal length, CIPA 7.0 stabilization, and 4K 120fps slow-motion recording.
The standard X500 reportedly has a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display and a 7500mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.
It may use a 3nm Dimensity 9500-series processor instead of the 2nm chip, likely due to rising chip prices.
The X500's main camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor with Zeiss gimbal-level stabilization, and its telephoto is a 64MP Sony LYT-610 with CIPA 5.5 stabilization.
The device supports 4K 120fps slow-motion video and a 200mm teleconverter.
