Vivo has introduced the T5 5G in India, a midrange smartphone that combines a large curved AMOLED screen, a robust battery, and MediaTek's Dimensity 7500 processor.
The device sports a 6.83-inch curved AMOLED display with a 2800 x 1260 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
It also offers up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness and includes SGS-certified eye-care features.
Performance and cooling
Under the hood, the T5 is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, which has four performance cores clocked up to 2.6GHz and four efficiency cores at up to 2.0GHz.
Vivo has equipped the phone with a 3,800mm² vapor chamber and an expanded cooling system to manage heat during gaming and sustained tasks.
The smartphone comes in four memory and storage configurations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB.
It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, and supports virtual RAM expansion up to 12GB, though there is no microSD card slot.
Battery and cameras
A 7,050mAh battery with 44W charging powers the T5, offering up to 85 hours of music playback and 34.7 hours of video playback.
Vivo claims the battery retains its health for up to 1,600 charging cycles.
For photography, the phone features a 50-megapixel primary camera with Sony's IMX882 sensor and OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies.
Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps.
Software and additional features
The Vivo T5 runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, with three generations of Android updates and five years of security updates promised.
It includes AI tools for text editing, transcription, captions, document handling, and image cleanup.
The phone also boasts IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB-C port.
It supports dual nano-SIM cards and 5G on both SIMs in standby mode, but lacks NFC and FM radio.
Pricing and availability
The Vivo T5 will be available in India in four configurations: the 6GB/128GB model is priced at ₹34,999, the 8GB/128GB at ₹39,999, the 8GB/256GB at ₹44,999, and the top-end 12GB/256GB at ₹49,999.
Sales begin on September 9, 2026, via Flipkart, Vivo's online store, and partner retailers.
