A Galaxy Z Fold 8 owner has reported that the corners of the inner display appear to flex inward when lightly pressed.
The user posted on Samsung's official EU Community forum, noting the issue while wiping the edges with a soft cloth.
An Instagram reel showing similar flexing has also circulated, prompting the owner to ask others to check their devices.
Some replies suggest this behavior might be normal due to the flexible layers near the edges being less rigid.
Most commenters advised against pressing on the screen and recommended visiting a service center if it feels wrong.
So far, there has been no flood of identical reports from other owners.
Samsung's durability claims for the Z Fold 8
Samsung has emphasized durability with the Z Fold 8 series, featuring the new FlexTitanium display technology.
The company says it uses a titanium alloy film and a supporting titanium plate under the OLED panel.
According to Samsung, the film is about 20 times stiffer than older polymer films, helping hide the crease and strengthening the panel.
The hinge is rated for 500,000 folds, and the phone has an IP48 rating.
Independent tests, including JerryRigEverything's extreme bend tests, showed the Z Fold 8 holding up without dramatic failure.
However, the Ultra model became the first book-style Galaxy foldable to suffer a non-functional inner display.
The top layer of the inner display remains soft plastic that scratches easily, as with previous Fold models.
Samsung advises leaving the factory protector on and avoiding pressure on the screen.
