HUAWEI has officially introduced the nova 16s Series at a global event in Munich, Germany.
The new lineup is built for outdoor photography, with a focus on True-to-Colour imaging, AI creative tools, and durable design.
Pro Model Leads with 200MP Camera
The HUAWEI nova 16s Pro features a 200MP RYYB Ultra-Large Sensor main camera.
It also includes front and rear True-to-Colour cameras supported by dual 1.5MP multispectral sensors.
These sensors help improve colour accuracy in challenging lighting, such as harsh midday sun or seaside backlighting.
The standard nova 16s comes with a 50MP Ultra Portrait Camera, also designed for natural colour reproduction.
AI-Powered Photography Tools
The series includes AI Composition for real-time framing guidance and AI Move to reposition subjects.
AI De-Glare removes reflections, while AI Remove can erase unwanted people or clutter with one tap.
AI Best Expression helps group shots by selecting the best smile for each person.
Some AI features may be limited to certain regions, and results can vary.
The nova 16s Pro measures 7.1mm thick and weighs 218g, with a frosted glass back.
It sports a 6.84-inch ultra-bright display with a 1–120Hz LTPO refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness.
The standard model has a 6.68-inch high-bright display.
Colour options for the standard nova 16s include Isle Blue, Breathing Crystal, Starry Black, and Sky White.
The Pro model uses an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy frame and Kunlun Glass with nano crystal coating.
HUAWEI claims 10 times better drop resistance compared with the nova 15 regular glass edition.
The nova 16s Pro packs a 7,000mAh typical battery and supports 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo wired charging.
It also features symmetrical dual stereo speakers with a 100-degree ultra-wide soundstage.
