Xiaomi has introduced a new thermos cup on its Youpin crowdfunding platform.
The Mijia Flip-Lid Insulated Mug 2 will officially launch on September 2, but it is already listed ahead of time.

The cup comes in four color options: white, navy blue, misty purple, and glacier blue. Its crowdfunding price is set at 79 yuan, approximately $11.
One-Handed Flip Lid Design
The highlight is the flip-up lid with an automatic locking system. Users can open it by sliding to the left or pressing a button, allowing one-handed operation.
The lid locks automatically when closed. This design is a refinement of the original Mijia flip-top thermos cup, which also offered one-handed use.

The drinking spout and filter are made from heat-resistant PPSU material that resists odors. Both parts are removable for easy cleaning.
Insulation and Build Quality
The cup uses a tailless vacuum process between its inner and outer layers.

A copper coating on the inner liner improves insulation and keeps the exterior comfortable to hold.
Xiaomi rates the cup for up to six hours of heat retention above 68°C and six hours of cold retention below 10°C.
These figures are similar to its titanium thermos cups, but this model uses 316L stainless steel.

The inner liner is thinner and mirror-polished through an electrolytic process. The cup has a capacity of 500ml.
