Apple has scheduled its 2026 fall event for September 9, marking the first major keynote under incoming CEO John Ternus, who will replace Tim Cook on September 1.
The event's tagline is “Surprise and shine,” and the spotlight is expected on the iPhone lineup.

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are rumored to retain a similar design to current models, with upgrades under the hood.
Both phones are expected to feature the new A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process.
The main camera may include a variable aperture lens, and Apple is likely to introduce its own C2 modem.
The standard iPhone 18 and a new iPhone 18e are expected to arrive separately in spring 2027.

First Foldable iPhone
Another major announcement could be Apple's first foldable iPhone, reportedly featuring a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner screen with a wide-fold design.
The device is expected to use a titanium frame, and Apple has reportedly worked to reduce the display crease.
To keep it thin, Face ID may be replaced by Touch ID in the power button, and the rear camera system might use two sensors instead of three.

Apple Watch, iPad Mini, and Smart Home
The Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 are rumored to get faster processors and updated health sensors, but no major design changes.
Apple may refresh the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini, and the long-rumored Home Hub could debut with a 7-inch display and FaceTime support.
The eighth-generation iPad mini might also appear, with an OLED panel as its biggest upgrade.
Software and Streaming
Apple is expected to reveal release dates for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate.
