Garmin has introduced the Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro, refreshing its multisport smartwatch lineup with new features and design upgrades.
The watches now include built-in microphones and speakers, brighter AMOLED displays, and an optional inReach satellite connectivity for off-grid messaging.

Display and design
Both models come in 43mm, 47mm, and 51mm case sizes.
The standard Fenix 9 features a 1.4-inch AMOLED display that Garmin says is twice as bright as the previous Fenix 8.
The Fenix 9 Pro uses a larger 1.5-inch AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
For those prioritizing battery life, a Pro Solar version swaps the AMOLED for a solar-charging lens.
The watches feature titanium bezels, sapphire lenses, and leakproof metal buttons, offering a 40-meter dive rating.

Smart features and software
Built-in speakers and microphones allow users to take calls, record voice notes, and use voice assistants when connected via Bluetooth.
A dedicated WhatsApp integration enables reading and replying to messages from the wrist.
Garmin Epic groups multiple days of activities, photos, and health data into a single timeline.
The watches include standard training metrics like Training Readiness, Endurance Score, and Hill Score, plus an ECG app for AFib detection.
Storage, navigation, and battery
With 64GB of storage, the watches can hold up to 7,000 songs and multicontinent TopoActive maps.

Navigation features include NextFork map guides and dynamic round-trip routing.
The Fenix 9 Pro models offer an optional built-in inReach connectivity for satellite messaging, LiveTrack, and interactive SOS.
Battery life reaches up to 29 days on the Fenix 9, 31 days on the Fenix 9 Pro, and 57 days on the Pro Solar model.
All models include an integrated LED flashlight with white, red, and green light options.
