BenQ has expanded its ScreenBar lineup with two new models tailored for specific setups: the iScreenBar for iMacs and the ScreenBar Max for dual-monitor desks.

The iScreenBar is designed exclusively for iMac models from 2021 and newer.

Instead of a weighted clip, it uses a magnetic mount that attaches to the back of the iMac, avoiding the webcam and microphones.

The light bar is crafted from a single piece of aluminum with a glass touch panel, matching Apple's design language.

It draws power from the iMac's USB-C port and features an asymmetric optical design to prevent screen glare.

A 24GHz mmWave motion sensor turns the light on when you sit down, and an ambient light sensor adjusts brightness automatically.

A dedicated macOS app allows assigning lighting profiles to different applications, and Video Call Mode reduces webcam glare while keeping side LEDs bright.

ScreenBar Max for Dual-Monitor Setups

The ScreenBar Max is a standalone desk lamp that mounts via a desk clamp, with a freestanding base sold separately.

It is designed to light the wide space and gap between two monitors, which standard light bars struggle with.

The Max offers three fixed height options from 21.6 to 27.9 inches and a sliding rail to adjust the light position.

It uses a modified optical structure to throw a wide, even beam across the desk.

Like the iScreenBar, it has mmWave presence detection and auto-dimming, plus an ambient backlight to reduce contrast.

Brightness and color temperature are controlled via a touch display on the lamp.

Pricing and Availability

The iScreenBar is available now in silver for $189, with blue and green colorways expected in late 2026.

The ScreenBar Max is priced at $289, and the optional desk base costs $39.

Both models are available through BenQ, Amazon, and select retailers like Adorama and B&H.
