Vivo's product manager, Han Boxiao, has confirmed that the upcoming X500 Pro series will be the first smartphones to run on a 2nm Dimensity chip, co-developed with MediaTek.
The chip, likely named Dimensity 9600 Pro, is built on TSMC's N2P process and features a tri-cluster CPU design with two ARM C2-Ultra super cores, three C2-Premium large cores, and three C2-Pro medium cores.

Imaging and Video Enhancements
Han also highlighted the chip's imaging capabilities, including a dedicated professional Log video hardware zone for 4K 120fps 10-bit recording.

A revamped imaging NPU enables 60fps autofocus tracking across all 4K focal lengths, while Vivo's image chip powers the industry's first 4K Dolby portrait video.
An AI processor offers one-tap video highlights, and a jointly developed XDZ engine provides hardware-level super-resolution for zoomed footage.

These features add to previously confirmed specs like a 17EV dynamic range ceiling and 3-degree gimbal-level stabilization.
