Bose has refreshed its standard QuietComfort headphones for the first time in three years.
The new QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) feature a redesigned fit, spatial audio, wired lossless playback, and a revised noise cancellation system.

These features were previously exclusive to the pricier QuietComfort Ultra line.
Key Features and Specifications
The new headphones bring Bose TrueSpatial technology from the Ultra series. Users can choose between Still, Motion, and Cinema modes depending on their surroundings.
Still mode keeps audio in one place even when you move your head.
Motion mode moves the soundstage naturally with you, while Cinema mode broadens the soundstage and keeps dialogue centered.

If you prefer a wired connection, plugging in via USB-C gives you lossless audio at up to 24-bit/48kHz.
Wireless features remain active simultaneously.
The USB-C port also handles audio in both directions, which should improve microphone pickup on video calls. The headphones can be used while charging.

The updated Aware Mode algorithm now responds more smoothly to sudden noise spikes, like a passing siren or a door slamming.
Bose's six-microphone ANC setup has also been adjusted to account for gaps around the earcups for glasses wearers.
On the design side, the earcups have softer padding, and the headband's clamping force has been optimized for a closer fit.
Beyond standard black and white, Bose offers limited-edition colors: Eucalyptus Green, Dewdrop Mint, and Rosewood Mauve.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) open for pre-order on August 8 for $359, with shipping starting August 13.
