The Senate Homeland Security Committee voted Thursday to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress.
The vote came after Fauci refused to answer questions during a hearing last week, invoking his Fifth Amendment rights 111 times.

The 8-5 party-line vote sets up a potential criminal referral to the Department of Justice for allegedly ignoring a congressional subpoena.
