HMD has unveiled the Nokia 123 Shield, a new feature phone designed for durability and long battery life.
The device is positioned as the company's most affordable option with water and dust resistance, targeting outdoor workers or users seeking a reliable backup phone.

Design and Durability
The Nokia 123 Shield features a textured plastic exterior for improved grip. A rubber flap covers the ports at the bottom to protect against water, sand, and dust.
Under the flap, users will find a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port.
The phone weighs 108 grams and is available in green and purple color options.

Specifications and Performance
Running on the S30+ operating system, the device is powered by a Unisoc SC6531E processor.
It comes with 4MB of RAM and 4MB of internal storage, expandable via MicroSD card up to 32GB.
The 2.4-inch QVGA display is complemented by a low-resolution QVGA camera with an LED flash on the back.
Connectivity is limited to 2G networks (GSM 900 and 1800 bands) via dual Mini SIM slots.
While HMD claims the phone is optimized for clear calls, 2G networks are being phased out in many regions.
Battery and Additional Features
The removable 1,750 mAh battery delivers up to 27.9 hours of talk time and up to 19 days of standby, according to HMD.
Other features include an FM radio that works with or without wired headphones and a built-in flashlight that HMD says is brighter than the one on the older Nokia 110 model.

HMD has not announced an official global price, but retail listings in Bulgaria and Greece show the Nokia 123 Shield priced between €35 and €40.
