HMD has introduced a new phone aimed at parents who want to keep their kids connected without the distractions of a smartphone.
The HMD 105 4G School Edition strips away many features that make phones entertaining, focusing on essential communication.
Users can still make calls and send texts, but the web browser, Snake game, and recording function are removed.
Instead, the phone includes a PIN-protected parental control system that allows parents to disable Bluetooth, MMS, and even the radio.

The hardware is similar to the standard HMD 105 4G, ensuring durability and battery life are not compromised.
It features a 2.4-inch display with 240x320 resolution, 64MB of RAM, and 128MB of internal storage.
A microSD slot supports expansion up to 32GB, and connectivity includes 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.
Bluetooth 5.0 is present but can be disabled by parents, and a USB-C port handles charging.
A 3.5mm headphone jack allows the use of wired headphones, and the phone can store up to 2,000 contacts.
The removable 1,450mAh battery provides up to 15 days of standby time, similar to recent Nokia models.
