Jesus Rivas and Mercedes Martinez, the parents of Celeste Rivas, arrived at a Los Angeles courthouse on Tuesday for the preliminary hearing in the murder case against musician D4vd.

The couple was seen walking hand in hand, looking solemn as they entered the building.

They have attended previous court proceedings, but Tuesday's hearing is expected to be particularly difficult as prosecutors present evidence to convince a judge that the case should go to trial.

D4vd is charged with murdering 14-year-old Celeste in April 2025.

Prosecutors allege he fatally stabbed her at his Hollywood Hills home, then placed her body in an inflatable pool and dismembered it with a chainsaw he ordered online.

According to prosecutors, D4vd then put the remains in two bags and stored them in the front trunk of his Tesla.

After his arrest, Celeste's family released a statement thanking the LAPD and the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office for their work on the case.

D4vd has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has remained in custody since his arrest.
