Ryan Clark is reaching out to his former ESPN colleagues after the network's latest round of layoffs.
The ex-NFL star turned analyst posted a message of encouragement on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday.

"Sending prayers and love to all those laid off today by ESPN," Clark wrote.
He acknowledged the emotional toll, adding, "So many of you have poured your life into that company, & I know how you’re feeling right now.
My hope is as this door closes another opens for you all. God bless!"

Clark was among the notable names reportedly let go, along with Karl Ravech, Tom Pelissero, and David Lloyd.
His dismissal drew particular attention because it became public while he was live on air during "NFL Live" on Monday.
Clark had been with ESPN for over a decade, appearing on multiple programs.
The Athletic reported that the network was displeased with an on-air argument Clark had with colleague Peter Schrager in September 2025.

In a separate Instagram post on Tuesday, Clark reflected on his mindset.
"Before the madness of yesterday, I woke up, got in my Tundra, drove to Planet Fitness, and got to work," he wrote.
"The rest of the day was eventful, but the journey continues. My peace is with God, and my humility comes from within.
